New Fry

Yay! I finally have new platy fry! They aren't in a breeding trap but are free in the tank. I was wondering how I am going to feed them - or will they just pick food from the bottom?

feed them with flake food that has been powdered in a pestle and mortar or something similar

I will do that its just I was worried if they will actually get to the food before my greedy mollys and platys do.

they should get some, but if your wanting to rasie them its them becoming food you should worry about, but congrats on the new arrivals

I'm not overly concerned about them being eaten because I have 3 other pregnant mollys and I don't want my tank to be overun.

There is no need to feed them specially prepared food. When I feed a tank with adults and fry in it, I just take the last bit of my pinch of flake and grind it between my finger tips. That last few flakes then becomes too small for the adults to bother with it and the fry get plenty to eat.
