Hello....I kept aquariums many years ago and my daughter and I have started a couple of new tanks...Trying to make all the mistakes and get them out of the way... :)

We started a 55gal mostly Cichlid tank about a month ago...We bought the tank with fish in it and 5 of 7 of the fish are still alive...The tank is overstocked (couldn't resist adding 5 more fish) but we are expecting that to thin out as the fish get larger....We're not sure the tank has cycled yet and will post a separate message on that subject...

My daughter just bout a 29gal tank and we plan to cycle this one correctly...My daughter is planning on dwarf puffers as the central fish...We're thinking of adding a couple of other fish (thinking Mollies) later....

We're from Elk Grove, CA, USA and look forward to sharing info with you all...

to TFF! Hope you enjoy it here.

Can't wait to see the 29g when it's set up. Be careful on adding other fish with puffs though, they can be quite nippy. Usually best kept in a species only tanks but some people have had it work.

Where do I find info on breeding snails?

Just common snails like pond snails and ramshorn snails. Malaysian trumpet snails are to hard for their mouths. In a 29 gallon you could have about 9 Indian dwarf puffers in the tank.
