I found a new music downloading service today while reading the University news-paper. It's called Ctrax and the website for downloading the service is ctraxmusic.com, basically if you ave a .edu e-mail address you can download the player free and then download unlimited songs free as long as you want. You can't transfer them to a portable device such as an iPod but you can listen to them on your computer. It works well and if you are a little savvy you will be able to find out how to get them onto your iPod or Zen or whatever you use. All the university/college students on here should give it a try.
P.S.
for $6.99 a month you can pay for a subscription which will let you transfer songs to your iPod but as is the case with Napster or Rhapsody, you lose them when you stop paying the fee.
