Hey guys! My new Omega One tropical flakes just came in. I’ll let you guys know tomorrow, if my neon tetras liked them. :)

can you post a pic of the size of the flakes in that container? My container of omega one had very tiny flakes...almost powderly. Recently I bought New Life Spectum and the flakes are huge. I break them up with my fingers before adding them to the tank.

Sure!

As you can see, they aren’t that big. I will probably end up crushing all of them, for my neons little mouths.

That's a good sized flake. The ones in my omega one container were tiny..as if the container was put into a clothes dryer for 5 minutes. The omega one flakes do have good ingredients though.

I do like the ingredients, much better than the Tetra tropical flakes I used to use...

I have have huge jar of Tetra Flakes that I never use and probably will just discard.. Once I found out there are better alternatives, I became a believer in Omega One and /or New life Specturm. For my betta, I feed Northfin beta bits which also has great ingredients including whole fish.

I have a huge container of tetra flakes too, I now give them to the feeder guppies and shrimp to eat. Omega one and Bug bites are my primary food for my tetras.

That’s why I originally got Tetra food. It was cheap and I was newbie at fish keeping.

I now know that Omega One has a lot more beneficial ingredients. :good:

You open a fresh jar of it and you can smell the fresh fish. You can smell the quality compared to others.

My only complaint though is my batch has fish bones in it!
