new fishies

i went to my lfs today and after much desicion making i bought 3 silver platies.

they are really nice and they are big too, there scales reflect a turquoise colour which sets them off very nicely

i took my mum with me and after seeing all the litte fishies she said she will help fund my next tank

my mum really wants to get some albino frogs for our new tank... i spose there are quite good, she can pay for them tho

i also found some really nice silver sharks and some juwel fish im gonna get for my new tank

What size tank are you getting next? Do you know how big silver/bala sharks get? They can grow to 14-15" and need to be kept in groups of at least 3.

prob gonna be a custom jobby the new tank

the wall space im buidling it into is 5.5' long x 3' high x 18" deep

should be up to it i'm guessing

do you realise that then albino frogs are clawed frogs which get very big and will eat your fish?

oh no! Your not getting good news from folks ad_smith best to get it now then later though.

The silver/bala sharks do get big as chali says but in a 5.5 footer should be ok. Mine are in a 5 foot tank. They are also skittish fish - make sure that the other occupants (and people) are calm as they spook easily and can jump! Oh, and get 3 or 4

Damn! does that mean I have to get some more??

sounds like a great tank you are going to have.And yes,silver sharks will do great in there!!

Do you mean jewel cichlids? Why not get a fish remotely friendly and non aggressive?
