New fish

hello, i got some new fish today, 6 neon tetras. i will be taking some pictures some time, probably post them up here... We'l' be getting some more cory's in a couple of weeks.

Cool, congrats. Sounds like a nice tank you are building up.

They look pretty nice, how long are you supposed to leave the light off after you put the new fish in?

Probably a couple of hours, depends how they are settleing in. If they still don't seem ok I'd leave it until tomorrow.

Well, they seem to be fine, just acting like they were in the shop. They're in their little posse, pretty active. They've inly been in there for about 20 mins.

I'd leave them until they've been in a couple of hours and then turn on the light if you want to. It's goos they are settleing in so well.

What Corys are you thinking of?

We have one albino, one bronze. I know now that this isnt enough, but the guy who sold us the fish at the time said that would be ok (we didnt know all that much about communities and schooling etc. at that time). so we're planning on getting about 2 or 3 more of each type.
