New fish

I bought 3 glowlight tetras and 3 Corydoras sterbai. I could only get pictures of the biggest one. He seems more outgoing then the other two. They are really cute! They act like their on crack or something, almost as bad as danios.

I always see people on here talking about how great cories are and I always thought, "Eh, what's so great about them?" But now that I have some I see what you guys meant. They are sooooo cute! And they dart around like little bolts of lightening . I really like the orange coloring on their fins too.

How much do these guys usually cost? I'm in the U.S. The lfs owner said they used to be $16.99 a piece!!! Then they dropped some after they started being bred in some country (I don't remember what he said) and they were $8.99 a piece. I get half off of all fish plus the owner gave me a second discount so I got 3 for $12, is that a good price?

Yeah, around here that's reasonable. Corys range from $5 to $10 Canadian (each).

Over here corys go from about $4 for your common peppered and bronze corys up to $100 for C.imitators

In Chicago, I believe Sterbia are about $9.99 - 12.99 each. Most other corys are $1.99 - 6.99, depending on size and species.

Sterbai are more expensive than most other corys around here, plus they are not seen everywhere.

o well. i DID get mine for $10 though. and its not going to stop me from going to that particular lfs. i love it

I get mine for 12 CAD a piece, (8 or so USD?) but I get mine from a good store that takes beyond good care of their fishies, so I happily pay a little extra.

My cories are delightful I have one sterba, and its an excellent little fish.
