New Fish!

Hello guys! i have just been to my well... LFS and i have managed to pick up 3 dwarf gourami's and a big 3"? Lace gourami's Also a Albino Corydoras. all seems to be going well. quite skittish. However as ithought may happen the rainbow is chasing the dwarfs around for a bit. any advice. Hoping for biorb this weekend.

The rainbowfish is a shoaling fish (I'm getting deja vu here) so its chasing behaviour may be down to feeling threatened and vulnerable.

...and you added these to your already obscenely overstocked tank in your sig?

What are you planning on putting in the biorb??

1. Post on a public forum, expect comments. I'm not slating you.

2. How can you not know the sex? Are they colourful or plain silver? Keeping males together is asking for trouble.

3. Are they all albino corys?

4. If you know you're overstocked why have you added MORE fish? Or do you mean you know your rainbow should have company - again, if you know this, why not deal with this?

5. You cannot put those gouramis in the biorb. Simply cannot. Lack of research again.

They are all a light blue They get along fine. read my gourami topic about the issue. 3. 1x sterbai 2x bronze 1x albino. 4 the rainbow. but they are too expensive at the moment the aquarist said he would be fne along with many other fishkeepers. 5. The dwarfs will be fine in a 60 litre biorb. The lace will be sorted.

I would like to say something about the stocking you WILL have to rehome the Pleco. And the iridescent shak too (bala shark) also the golden sucking loach too and then that will take a lot of pressure of of the tank and your fish, you realize the requirements of these fish right the reason I said that you will have to rehome them is because they are unsuitable for your tank

And also the dwarfs won't be okay in a 60 liter two at the max in such a small tank

I wouldn't trust any 'aquarist' who says a rainbowfish is fine alone. This isn't the case. They are SHOALING fish. You should return it if you can't care for it.

How can you tell if all the dwarfs are male? i will get more coryoras in the future.

I don't want to be mean but I don't think you could keep 3 males in a 10 gallon that sounds messed up and you can't keep 3 males in a 60 liter either

I don't want to be mean but I don't think you could keep 3 males in a 10 gallon that sounds messed up and you can't keep 3 males in a 60 liter either
