New Fish

Hi, yesterday I went to my lfs to buy some bedding for the hedgehogs and food for the fish when I spotted a new arrival at the store
it was labeled as opaline gourami, Im not new to gouramis but these fish were awsome!
and as I stood there watching them, I noticed that they were like a dog/drunken man
very bold almost to the point of being stupid
I noticed one had been picked on and had his whisker thingys bitten, but he had a very distinctive pattern on him and he looked like a blue tiger so I decided I would buy him

Was I ever right about the bold statement!
when i finished acclimitating him he zoomed out and checked out his new home
as usual my big boss electric yellow came out to see the new comer with the femal convict right over his shoulder. when they confronted each other it was like watching two dogs meet and sniff each others butt it was so funny

so I am glad I bought this buy as he looks great in the tank and I will post pictures in the days to come

opaline gouramis are awesome fish, plan on getting one when i rehome 2 of my fish that arent working out too well..

my opaline is great!!! I have named him blueberry and in the 3 days I have had him I have noticed that he has gotten better coloring and his damaged "whisker" has grown and is looking alot better

good news, hope all goes well.. watch the colors, they may get darker from time to time, mine always did, its neat

He sounds like one of mine - he's definitely the boss in his current tank!
