Hi all,

My name is Chris and i've recently inherited / rescued a tank of tropical fish.
I'm not sure that the tank set up is in the greatest of health so have signed up here for some research and advice.
Currently in the tank are 2 plecs, 1 common approx 6" and 1 clown plec approx 1.5", 1 red tail shark approx 2", 5 angel fish and 2 unknown catfish both approx 3".

I have been having a look around and there seems to be some great advice on here so am looking foward to getting the tank up to scratch.

Welcome, you might want to check the size of the fish against recommended tank sizes because at least the common pleco should have a 6*2*2 ft tank when it is adult, as they have the potential to grow up to 2 ft long.

Also, I recommend you read about cycling the filter, so you know how that works.
