hi there

Ive got a 60 ltr tank with 4 neon tetra and 4 black neon tetra, i was wondering wats a gd fish to add  . i want a bottom feeder, i was thinking of some thing like a coolie loach / corydora. would these be ok with tetras?

while im here any surgestions on how to get the temp down abit?, because its on 28 c.

and how to lower my KH its on 240, on the api test strips and my GH is 30 and ph 7.

first of all welcome (feel odd saying that since im new too! )

corydoras are brilliant fish, been told best to keep them in small groups ( i had 3 but ones died :() will keep you entertained for hours! really active fish that keep the bottom really clean, i have some neons in my tank and they are 100% fine with them.

Khuli loaches as far as i'm aware either need sand or fine gravel since they bury themselfs (don't take my word for it, i dont own them just what i've been told!)

is your tank big enough for a plec? not a common plec since they grow HUGGGGGE but im sure some varities stay resonably small. A bit different to your average fish and i can guarantee you wont have algae in your tank.

can you not just turn your heater down? ????

If the tank temp is rising due to heat waves etc there are a few things you can do:
1) Cut down on light usage
2) If you don't have any fish that like to jump you can open up the hood and position a fan to blow across the surface
3) You can float ice in a small container
4) Small partial water change with cooler tap water

Welcome to the forums ^_^
