And where do you buy the sand in your tanks ?

Is it play sand ?

I get my sand at lowes.It isn't play sand,it's called medium grain sand..forget the brand name of it...but lowes doesn't have much else in the way of sand...just play and this medium grain...
I mix it with river stone that I either get at lowes or at the local landscaping place,that I can't remember the name of either..lol

If you get that sand,put it in a big rubbermaid bin and run the hose on it,takes a long time,maybe 30 minutes ,to get it clean...ugh...

I'm not tall at all 5 ' 11" , but you are going to need at least a step stool .

My son sees so many people on here with sand that he wants to try it , we're raising some peacock gudgeons , like the one in my avatar , and he wants the to have sand .

I believe the sand is sold in 50 lb bags...it cost under 4$ ,but I don't remember what the price was exactly.

I'll go to the Home Depot for sand , closer then Lowes
