With the money I got from selling that 10-gallon hood, I got new plants and fish for my tank :)

On Saturday, I got a couple of Java Fern plants. I've been wanting some for awhile. Now I need to get a piece of bogwood/driftwood/some-kind-of-wood for my tank. Both of the fish stores I've been to down here have it priced higher than I want to pay.

Today (25% off fish and plants day at the fish store!), I got another Panda Cory and three baby Neons! The Panda Cory has such nice, long, barbels. Ooohhhh.... :) My original Panda Cory's barbels are a little short, so I took some of the bigger rocks/sand grains out of the tank today so that he won't wear down his little barbels as much.

I considered getting some Khuli loaches today, but my husband did not like them, so I decided to get some fish he liked and get the Khulis another time - trying to get/keep him at least a little interested in the fish, ya know :B He said he doesn't like fish that look like little worms. I showed him the Rams I want to get - they're smaller than I remembered, but they're so cute! I saw some Apistos that looked similar to the rams, but were bigger. How aggro are they? Are they okay in a community tank?

One more question - will by big Neons be okay with my little Neons?

Had to share - getting new fish is so much fun!

What size tank were you planning on putting the rams or apistos? :dunno:

Do you know what kind of Apistos they were? :dunno:

Apistos can be aggressive when they breed, some more than others.

Sorry, not sure about the neons, I've always bought them the same size.

Edit:

Here's a good Apisto site:
