I have bought a new Fluval 404 and obviously would like to start using it, but I have never been in this position before, do I just swap the media over or some of it, or do I run them together until I can turn my old 303 off I suppose I would have to limit the flow if they were both on, i'd have tidal waves otherwise.

fit as much media from the 303 into the 404 and the, every few weeks, replace one 303 media with the corresponding 404 media.
