I went to PetCo to buy some Otos for my 44 gallon community tank. My favorite family owned pet store was out and I really need some help with the algae. On the way to the cashier I saw several beautiful, healthy looking female bettas for just $2.49 each. Since my tank has a few vacancies, I bought 4 in assorted colors (marble blue/pink; deep blue; turquoise; and beige/red). They joined 3 large plakat females (I've recently lost 3 of their siblings), 3 julii catfish and 3 harlequin rasboras. The marble kept picking fights with the older, larger females, as well as with the other three new ones. Unfortunately, she kept it up, and is now in a 2.5 gallon all by herself. Everyone else seems to be settling in fine. Perhaps "she" is a "he", or she could just be especially aggressive.

:good: I mostly wanted to share that I was impressed with the care notices attached to the female cups as well as the clean water and healthy looking fish. :)

The dark blue one has a split tail after her fight with the blue/pink one (who is now in a separate tank). The dark blue, red, and light blue ones are in the community tank.

Ooh! I like the red/blue one in the top right corner!

Makes me want to start another girly collection.

Ohhh, they are very pretty, lots of gorgeous colors!
(my favorite is the mean one! she's gorgeous)

Yes naughtygirl, I said red/blue, but I guess it's the blue/pink one that I mean.
