After a disasterous event (tank heater broke)two days before my return from Cape Town I found myself with an ideal oppertunity to start my tank from fresh.
The tank is mature and is now filled with rock and Malawi Cichlids (and a firefox and horse nose snail eater who survived the heater).
The Firefox and Horse Nose snail eater are happy in the tank with the Cichlids which is a big surprise. The Cichlids don't even look at them!

My question is what kind of Plec can I put in with the Cichlids to keep the glass and rock clean?
I'm not a massive fan of Plecs - most of them look quite monsterous!

thanks

Cichlids should keep Rocks fairly clean of algae and cleaning glass is the aquarist's job.

Bristlenose Plecs go great with Malawis.

They are hardy, adaptable and stay small.
