Great pics - really sharp and full of colour. :good:

:good: youre off to a good start!

do you have a MACRO setting on your digi? if so, play with it when you want to do close ups.
remember, you dont have to be so close when you have descent zoom and your PC program can also bring you in closer in editing.

www.flickr.com is a great host site along with photobucket.com (bucket has had lots of hacking lately though so I stick w/ flickr)

Wow. Great pictures. Wonderful fish.

I have to ask, is that an SLR camera? I can't get that kind of quality out of mine. I'm starting to think I shouldn't have been so cheap when buying mine. lol

Nice pictures. I like your Metriaclima callainos. Whos the boss ?

I have two males that are duking it out for dominance  , unfortunately I haven't been able to catch the extra one, however, they've basically divided the tank in half for territory and it hasn't gotten too nasty. So, I'd say those two are the bosses of the tank, however, no one messes with the crabro, but she doesn't pick any fights.

All of the pics were taken with macro  , the fish were less than 2 inches away in most of them.

The biggest problem I have is catching my reflection unless I'm right on top of the tank. Any suggestions?

I'm getting a new laptop in the next week or so, so once I get it set up I'll have a better photo editing program which should help.

You're turning out ALLLL other room lights right? & take from an angle, rarely straight on.

I've even turned off the tank lights and relied on the flash to catch the glimmer of certain fish. It's all in the joy of experimenting......and knowing that for every 100 digis taken, you'll often only get 3 super good ones! LOL
