Hello guys!
My name is Elad, And Im from Israel which is in Asia, And English is my 2nd language, so excuse me if english isn't as good as yours, I'll try to use the dictionary as much as I can :good:
I've purchased a Mudskipper a few days ago and I'm afraid his tank isn't even close to be OK, it's pretty small and still got no filter in it, The water are pretty stinky, and in about 5 centimeter deep, Because they aint much of a divers, My mudskipper got around 5 big pebbles that are in the water's height, and I'm feeding him around 2 "SHRIMP-E" a day, Can I have some advices about how to improve the aquarium/Diet/Anything else-I'd love it, Thanks!
Elad.

Welcome to the forum Elad

I will provide some honest advice in that you should perhaps return the Mudskipper to where you got him & start again as with the current set up the Mud skipper may not live. Mud Skippers need brackish water with a beach like area to "walk" in. Also the tank needs to be cycled (I am not sure about brackish tanks though) which if you have the money I would advise fishless-cycling.

Now this is my opinion that you should firstly 1: Return the mud-skipper to where you bought it from (or did you catch one...Im not sure where you would catch mud-skipper :p) 2: Research the care of mud-skippers + Cycling a tank (extra important) 3: Research fishless cycling...& take it from there

Good Luck

Right, this thread will answer most of what you'll need to know.
They need a pretty specialised setup, brackish water, land, humiditity, ect.

Mudskipper Setup Journel

Your best bet would be to take him back, follow this thread, get everything ready, and get him after you have your setup :good:

Oh and :hi:

EDIT: It would help if I added the link

I debout if I can take him back to the store, And I'm short of money as it is right now, He was only at my place for a day or two, Do you really think he'll die from it?

How comes it's cheaper?
Let me re-explain, I HAVE NO MONEY as it is right now, And IF i'll return him [Btw, The store I bought him from also had him in the same conditions] I wont be able to buy him a decent tank or a filter...
Isn't there any way I can get him to live long enough for me to set up the tank from home-made metirials? I have planty of that...

That makes no sense

You have no money, so instead of returning him and leaving it for another day, your going to keep him and
try setting up a specialised tank for him?

O.O
If I'll return him to the store he'll die there, How comes that even matters?
I sepouse I can return him, But I wont get my money back, Therefor i wont get him back, The point is....?
I'm just saying that his only chance is if I'll make something from what I have in storge that he could live in, temporary...

this where aquarium salt come it put 1 tsp in and hell be fine the salt is very cheap here in the usa its 2dollars

Sorry to repeat what everyone else said, but you need to get him a home where he can be looked after properly.

You dont even have a tank, you have a box. No plants, nowhere for him to hide, nothing.

Give him to someone who can afford to look after him, please???

.......
I'll try to get him back to the store, Which by the way already killed 2 of those, Since there conditions are far worse than mine.................
Thanks for the honesty..............
Bye....

Elad why do you say he will die where you brought him from? If he was bought from a aquarium then he will most likely be put into a suitable tank where he will be better suited. If you keep him than you will end up spending money to care for him but Mud skippers are reasonably demanding & cannot be simply cared for easily. I suggest that you return him & spend some time saving up to care for him and do some research, then you will know he is happy, cared for & will live for hopefully many years

I didn't say take him to the store. I said give him to someone who can look after him properly. If the store cant, dont give him back, whats the point? Give him to someone else????
