Raven, A group of Mudskippers was brought to the store and only spent around 2 days there, They were kept in a box as well, With low water and rocks to stand on, Nothing more and nothing less, Surely without any hidding places, I don,t see the point of returning him....
Btw what's the big diffrence between a bix and a tank? They both got the same damn principle -To hold water.

Anyways, I guess I have nothing more to say here, And I debout if any of my friends will want him XD..

1 Last thing: Can I have a list of what accessory do you need to make a suitable tank? Other than the tank of course

Ok the best advice if te store cannot care for the skipper is this.

The issue here is you need probably a bit more money.....get a larger tub, buy some marine salt, a filter, water conditioner, a small hydrometre, a heater & there is a thing called Ammo Lock which locks out ammonia for a amount of time....

that would cost (in Australia $) about $150 so...thats probably the cheapest way to keep the Muddie alive...(im not sure their hardiness

Cost cutting measure though is whats the weather like in Israel as if it's hot at night and day you won't need a heater yet.....

Oh...
I can't afford that, Not at this time anyways, I;ll try to hook him up with someone who can, Thanks for your help Raven.
I have to go now, Ttyl guys.

Please dont get annoyed and stop asking questions because we are advising that you get rid of him. we are only thinking of the well-being of the mud-skipper. Thats our first priority.

If you cant rehome him, you'll have to do what you can. Please keep asking questions though. He'll have even less chance if you dont. :good:

I gtg for other reasons, But dont worry, I;ll try to hook him up with someone who got the money, I'll tallk to you guys later on this day, Good bye!

this where aquarium salt come it put 1 tsp in and hell be fine the salt is very cheap here in the usa its 2dollars

grimmy, aquarium salt is entirely different from marine salt and useless for this situation. Marine and brackish need marine salt. Marine salt has all sorts of minerals in it as well as salt and aquarium salt is... just salt. No matter how much aquarium salt you put in a tank, you'll never make it brackish, just salty.

first person to tell me how many times i said salt gets a trophy :hooray:

 not quite but close so here :flowers:

Sorry about the trouble with the mudskippers. They're very cool fish but can be fairly demanding, especially on your finances. If you stick around though we can help you get a good tank set up when you've the cash to do it. You'll need a tank, a filter, and possibly a heater (don't know the consistency of temperatures out your way but most tropical tanks should sit between 72-80 degrees farenheit). If you're keeping a freshwater tank then other than that, nothing else is really NECESSARY, but most fish will appreciate plants and caves to hide in, and there are some that need certain substrates. Many fish aren't too picky about what's underneath them though, and you could even leave the bottom of the tank bare if you wanted.

that's sort of a bare bones sketch, but if you go to the New to the Hobby forum there's loads of info on setting up your first tank. Also, if you can't find a filter, it's possible to make one, though i've never done it. It's one of the pinned topics at the top of the Hardware and Do-It-Yourself forum

Hehe, Thanks for the INFO star, But as I said in the beggining-Im from Israel, Not from the US, So I sepouse that the prices are not the same as well, As I said before-I'll try to hook him up with someone who can take care of him/the store I bought him from [Only after I'll explain to the seller [which is a good friend of mine] how to take minimum care of them, So they wont drop dead instantly ^_^
Btw, Im originaly a Reptile Breeder, I bought a Mudskipper because I thought it won't cost alot and could be a cute pet :]
Again-sorry for poping this messege all the time XD, I do that somtimes :]
