I went to the LFS with no intention of leaving with yet another fish. I was actually going to pick up some food for my Cories. I just happened to stumble upon the male Bettas. I noticed them on a very high shelf, completely out of sight. Seeing the small Betta bowls, I immediately knew what they were. I immediately felt bad that they were so out of sight, surely no one would even notice them. So, I grabbed a step stool and checked them out for myself. I found the most gorgeous VT I have seen in quite some time. He has a white incadescent body with fins that go from a pearl blue to a bright yellow! Not to mention the fact that his face is a pearlized grey. I immediately fell in love with him. He seemed a bit sluggish in his bowl, but I am a sucker for a challenge!
I brought him home, properly acclimated him, and he has not stopped flaring and zipping around since! He is so happy, and is getting along great with my Corys! I couldn't be happier, and I don't think he could either!
I've tried taking a picture of him but he's just too active right now, not to mention the fact that there a lot of plants in my tank for him to play behind. Will post a pic within the next few days!
