Another thing, i plan to get a new female to breed with male and i want to now how long will they need to settle before breeding...Im also wondering would daphnia, mysis, brine shrimp or bloodworms would boost their coloration.

On behalf of my friend, he was wondering what to do with his fry when they grow up cause he have too much can they be kept in small containers?

Thanks in advance!
Jordan

Hey Jordon!

You are absolutely honest. Those are terrible pictures

Wish I could see your fish. :look: It looks like a fairy sprite!

Well, I thought I would tease you a bit. I am happy for you about your new fish. Thanks for trying to share him with us. :D

Im gonna get a decent pic of it now as my betta kept on moving here and dere just now.

Do u mind answering the questions?

As for me, I don't have answers. Later in the morning/evening (morning in USA/evening in UK) you may get some answers. Sorry.

Really your fish looks like he's a keeper. Sorry for teasing you. :good:

You put new pics? He's a DT or just the way his tail is colored and the light? Very young, very nice. He will color up. I was just chatting with Cracker. I think he said ginger to make them aggressive and color up. I'm not sure--PM him.

very pretty new boy!

as for your friend, he should have thought of that before he bred them!
ask at LFSs, see if friends want them. if they're mutts, he'll be unlikely to be able to sell them, and barely be able to give them away.

the smallest container a betta should be kept in is 1 US gallon, any less will lead to boredom, and illness due to crappy water conditions in the cramped confines of a tiny home.

What abt::

He's really pretty but I doubt he's a mustard gas. He's probably just a marble or something of that sort

Cracker, what about his questions on food and coloring up. Was it ginger you said for color.

The mysis I think would need to be cut up a bit. Some Betta will eat some daphnia. It is good for the digestion to help keep them regular. If they won't eat daphnia, give them a veggie once a week after a fast day. Brine shrimp they will eat I think. I don't know if it needs cutting up. They love bloodworm and black worm. But do not give it daily as these are very high in protein and some in fat. They can be used for conditioning. Ok some of this is just info picked up in threads. Some is experience. But you asked so here it is. It is not at all the last word.

I have stopped using frequent feedings of meaty, high protein, high fat foods. I keep to good quality Betta pellets. I have had less trouble with constpation and digestion troubles.

I don't know what to use to help them develp color. Ask Cracker or one of the Betta show people like wuv or Synirr.

Nice raeburter. I love his pastels. As Cracker said he's a marble, so his colors are going to change. Why don't you pm Cracker and ask him what he uses to color up and strengthen the fins?
