I got a new 5 gallon tank with a powerfilter and light :good:
Inside I have: two hindey hole neon caves
5 lbs gravel
a quart sized glass fish bowl in middle of tank with rainbow gravel and plant, like a teeny litle house. (Thanks, woodstock)
Two seashells.
1 male blue crowntail betta, Cupid.
1 unknown gender red coral platy, Flash.
What's your tank set up?
Mine sound good?
How often should I replace my water, and how much? If it's parcial.

I think that's okay, but I'm in a rush lol
(and you're welcome :) )

Tips on the light, what kind is it? The incandescent it came with? Bad idea, IMO. Try with Fluorescent. Super cheap at walmart, not even $5. Lol, but it's not insanely important, I just couldn't live with it :)

Sure the seashells aren't too sharp for your betta?

I think, since you're still cycling, as often as possible!! Every day, or every other day, 20%. With a gravel vacuum / siphon, clean out the dirt properly (as in, don't swing it around in the gravel too quickly. I'll find this one video I think it's the best way to use a gravel vac when I come back)

Other than that, I think it's fine!

OH, HEATER! Now Brb. Lol
