New Betta, New Tank, Many Questions

Hi

My post further up wasn't directed at anyone, if it had been i would of "quoted" :good: It was merely an observation that i had made recently when reading this, and other thread concerning flow  There may be some people that didn't realise, or hadn't even considered that long-finned Bettas were not found in the wild

Emelee, that is real driftwood, and I *love* the look of it! I always think driftwood in a tank is gorgeous.

ct -- howdy neighbor! :hyper:

So far I've only ran into one minor problem -- the airwand, when turned on, freaks him out. He darts inbetween the plants, or in the ceremic pot, and hides. Once I turn the airwand off, but leave the filter on (which has a very mild, quiet flow to it) he is happy and back to blissfully exploring the tank. So I do believe I will keep the airwand off, and just keep the filter on 24/7 for filtration, and airation.

Sound alright?
You can change the wand for a small air stone if you really want one. Bettas are suface breathers from what i am aware so he should be sweet without the wand. Just keep an eye on water clarity.
