good sign i love convict cichlids a small fish with a big
personality i used to sit and watch my for ages especially when they have youngsters and there only them in the tank by themselves mum and dad moving them around the tank and showing them off

I know, i have been watching them all the time, i was even up at 6 this morning and just sat and watched them for probs an hour, I bought them purposly to let them breed. The fish store i got them from is going to take the fry once their about an inch big.

Looking forward to it... I feel awful when i walk in the room and they scatter lol

they get used to you after about a week at least
you have some one who will take the youngsters of your
hands i hope there going to give you a credit note for them
or give you cash oh by the way how much are a pair nowadays
you couldent give them a way once over but i love them

Well i'm not sure how old these two are, but there not fully grown, from past experience i would say they were about a year, or even younger they've only been paired up about a month, so guessing not too old.

i've made a make shift filter thing lol, i've cut up an old net and tied it around the bottom of the filter so the young dont get sucked up.

they look keen like the way there picking at that plant pot

i know within the last hour or so they are like different fish completly, they are out all the time, not hiding anymore and also they have been pecking at the rock that layed down and moving all the stones out of the way of it.

They are also like shimmying along side the rock i dont know if thats anything to do with it or there just cleaning it.

Why can't I see the pics?

I just get a message telling me I'm not permitted to view them....

The topic got moved i think thats why, i'll try putting them on again :)

my first cichlids where convicts i bred them for abit had 5 fry at the end still got one of them now about 4 1/2 inch big your lucky you can off load them as its near impossible here.
