Well, I have never even seen this part of the forums until today. :*)
Here are a few pics of things in our yard. I had the close-up lenses on for some macros. It was a very dewey morning.
The dew drops look cool on this one.

This bug was crawling around and I though it looked great contrasting against the yellow flower. I have the one above and this one below on my living room wall at 8x10

This on is a Praying Mantis that was lurking and I got up close and personal with it.

Sorry for the long post. I just wanted to say hi in the picture forum and show you all some of my stuff.

It's an Olympus C2100UZ. Not that great resolution (1600x1200) but I love the 10x optical and built-in image stabilization. The threaded lenses are great too since I have filters and add-on lenses that I can use like an SLR. Just wish it was about 6-8 megapixels :(

I love the olympus optics and will probably replace it soon but it's hard to find all the features on any new one for less that $1,000 (and that's a LOT of fish money) hehehe!

great pics! i love the first one

i feel your pain of having a 2megapixel camera and wanting a little more...if you didn't have to step up to 5-6mp, you can get quite a few decent deals out there on 4mp with 10x-12x optical zoom well below the $1000 range

currently i use a Panasonic FZ-1 (2mp, 12x optical zoom, lumix leica lens) and it is great....however, i would like something a little more hi-res....currently there is the Panasonic dmc-fz10 which is a slightly older 4mp version that can be found for around $300-$400....they also have a new Panasonic dmc-fz4s which is a new version of the same camera for the $4-500 price range Panasonic FZ4s ....

all of these cameras have the look and feel of a digital SLR and also come with the thread adapter so you can use standard 55mm (i believe) lenses....i have a UV filter on at all times...sometimes i use a circular polarizer for water and cloud shots...and i plan on getting more filters in the future...if you don't need to large poster-size pictures, but would like some mid size pictures, this may be a good option... here is a chart that shows megapixels vs. print sizes so you can get an idea Print Chart

lol, i'm sure you didn't really NEED this information/suggestion, but maybe it will help..
