My pleco had developed a habit of going inside it and never coming out, so I got rid of it.

Some plecos are nocturnal and like a place to hide during the day(mine stays under his wood all day and i only see him at nigh or when i put food in front of the wood), so you might want to put it back in until you find something else so that he feels safe .

Now that the castle's gone he seems content hiding under that fake rock on the right side (I call it has garage).
