New aquarium what african setup can i have????

Ok, so I have purchased a 60 gal aquarium 48" long and was wondering what kind of africans can i have open to suggestions... also what type of filtration and lighting is best?

You can have an mbuna setup, a hap setup, a peacock setup, a careful mix of these, a tanganyikan community setup... It really depends on the type of thing you're looking for - 'Africans' covers a lot of fish. Read up! This is a good start.

I would recommend ck'ing out www.cichlid-forum.net See the library and profiles section. I believe they have a cookie cutter section to give you ideas for your tank.

Over filter !!. The more the better. I recommend penguin. On my 55 I have 2 penguin 330's.
