I use the 25 watt version, of course. So far they have proven to be reliable, accurate and, best of all, adjustable!!!

I think I have one 25 watt for a 2 gallon. the rest of my heaters are 50 watt+ I test each heater to see how it holds its temp and I have never had one overheat even in a 3-5 gallon.

Price isn't bad, but it's a preset. FWIW, I think an adjustable is the way to go - that's just me, though.
