Hi,

We just set up a new aquarium for our betta. He went from a gallon bowl with no heater, no filter to a 5 gallon Hex aquarium with a filter and heater and is loving it! Just can't get him to eat. Tried feeding his Betta Bites the way I always did by waving my fingers with the bite between my fingers at top and he would come and jump at them but now he doesn't seem to see it. I even put my finger in to attract his attention and nothing. I tried frozen blood worms today and he saw them pass by and he did not go for them. They landed at bottom and he checked one out and then did not eat it.

Fish store said it could take a week for him to adjust to new aquarium. What experiences have others had? Suggestions?

Thanks!

It took Ezekiel two weeks to adjust to the larger tank and start eating, just give your betta time, keep offering food and if he doesn't eat it, make sure you remove it so it doesn't foul the water.

Mine won't eat anything thats not alive.
(Small moths, moths larvae,Fruit flies.)

He used to eat frozen blood worms before I gave him live but now he won't touch them.
I've tried not feeding him but I always give in cause I feel bad.
I hope to find a solution fast because I don't think I could keep up feeding him live food.
It's hard to find critter in the winter months.
