Hi all, basic story I set up a fry tank for my HRPs but I cant get the fry out the tank they hide to well in the plants and the parents are doing a great job so leaving them to it. BUT now I have a cycled 10g that is now home to a male Apisto Cacatuoides and 4 green line tetras (dont have a scientific name but if anyone knows a fish by this name would be appreciated) hoping to top the tetras upto 10 over time.

My main question is - Would it be possible to have a female (or two) of an other type of apisto in particular the Nijsens or Panduro (gorgeous females IMO) Reason being I dont want to get the cacatuoides breeding as well as the HRPs as I have limited space at the moment. If this mix wont work I'm not going to push it but I am curious as people often have a trio of apistos in a 10g and allways say never mix 2 males but cant find anything about this?

Any thoughts? Thanks Wills

Hi I have seen black neon tetra and green neon tetra both bein referred to as green line tetras,,, Paracheirodon simulans /// Hyphessobrycon herbertaxelrodi , maybe i'm barking up the wrong tree.... hope this helps....

yeah fairly certain they are neither of them seen both the blacks and greens in the past and these are more like a glowlight if anything but still not quite right - store owner (very trustworthy) said they are wild caught so not sure how to work it out :/

Gutted he has jumped out of a gap in the hood. Water is 0 ammonia 0 nitrite 10 nitrate - :(
