New Angelfish! New Tank!

Boesmani get far to big for your tank and can be completly brainless when feeding. The Praecox are far smaller, more colourfull and better all round version. Just remember like Boesmani they are a shoaling fish so 5 or more is preferable. (if you have space)

Also on a side note, is that a common plec in a 38gall tank? If so id rehome him and look at something smaller, Clown Plec, Bristlenose, Spotted Bulldogs to name a couple.

Yes thats a Pleco, and yes its a 38 gallon. For now Its okay for his size. I know he'll get bigger......then....i dunno....maybe i'll get a bigger tank....maybe i'll sell him back to the petstore I'll deal with that when the time comes....

But other than that...Today I got new fish!! =-D

Okay I got two Angelfish!

Heres my handsome male....(still a little pale from the stress of moving)

And I'm almost positive this is a female....but if anyone knows for sure tell me what IT is

I sat and watched them for like an hour lol....The male is very brave, explorative....stays at the front of the tank and greets all people....and the litte girl on the other hand is somewhat shy and fragile......she almost acts afraid of the male.... he herds her over in the corner most of the time....

So when I was in the fishstore. I had picked the male, and a female already...(they were in seperate tanks)....i got the male bagged up...then i noticed the female and the male in her tank....had eggs on the wall.....which i pointed out to the lady at the store.....and she was like.."oh #### I didnt even know those were in there" ....I couldnt take her away from her eggs, and her mate.... I'm hoping they will cover that tank and not sell them....but they dont know much about fish...so i doubt they even care

I also got a little crayfish....because i saw him...and just COULD NOT RESIST THE CUTENESS!!!...but hes hiding...and I cant find him to take his picture....I dont know anything about crayfish....if they start nipping fins i'll give em back, but they were in a tank with other fish, so i think it should be fine.

Still havnt thought of names...I have on I might pick for the female...I just want to confirm that shes a female first before i do so.

So tell me what you guys think =)

The difference is the coloring and size, Praecox rainbows will generally shoal more than their larger cousins, and their coloring is outstanding. You could go with 10 in your tank, but that pleco grows too big for your aquarium, so think it through.Hmm, I just noticed your post. A crayfish may create problems in a community aquarium, he might even nip on your pleco.

Yea im not getting a bosmani rainbow anymore. the crayfish is TINY bareley in inch long....i doubt hes gonna go after my 8inch pleco lol... But if it becomes a problem i'll remove him.
