new amazon sword?

hi earlier on today i bought an amazon sword but ive got pinkish marble gravel and its really small and when i tried to put my amazon sword in it just floated to the top so do you think i should buy a small pot for it and cover the roots with gravel like on the pics of the discus?

yes you can do, i have 2 pots in my discus tank with echodorous in,.
i put some fillter floss in the bottom, then some acuatic compost, and then a layer of gravel, to keep every thing in.
plants are growing like mad.

Actually smaller the gravel the better. I use about a pea sized gravel and I make sure I cover it well up to the base. You can try using more gravel? Or a bigger size gravel. My lfs doesn't keep them in pots either.

do i have to have aquatic compost or will it grow just fine with out it
