Im getting a 26 gallon bow front tomorrow, and I am not quite sure of what I should stock it with yet,
If I were to stock it with Gouramis, what would be the number I should keep it at? and what others could I have in it?
My ph is pretty high, so I don't know how compatible they will me,
What is the temperment of gouramis?
Please giveme some information, and some personal expirience owning them

As you can see in my signature I have a pair of Pearls & a single Opaline (Three Spot) in my 36 gallon bowfront. That's a good mix for my size tank but I'd stick to Pearls, a single male & 2 females, for your size tank. Technically, the minimum tank size for the larger Gouramis is 20 gallons, with each Gourami needing a minimum of 10 gallons each. Then you could add a small school of some Tetras or maybe a couple of pairs of Cherry Barbs.

You might be better off with Dwarf Gouramis or Honey Gouramis. Dwarf Gouramis are a bit smaller & very colorful but they can be aggressive too, so be careful what you put in with them. Honey Gouramis are much smaller so you could have more of them. They aren't very aggressive so you could probably fit as much as 2 males & 4 females, maybe even more. I've never had the Honeys so I'm not sure. Maybe someone else could chime in who has experience with them?

Here's a pic of a great looking male Honey Gourami
