How nice! I just started on making a divided 10 gallon for the bettas here. Your divider is a lot nicer that those petstore ones. I hope you bettas love it, I am sure they will.

I like that thing you made to spread the water flow. It's pretty creative. Anyway I have that same tank and filter. That's a Marineland/Perfecto tank and Red Sea Nano filter right? Just so you know the white filter material should be towards the back and the black sponge towards the front of the filter.

Yes, the divider is made of fiberglass windowscreen and I also reversed the filter cartridges. Thanks for your input...my next project is a 20 gal. SW nano! Anyway, the bettas are doing alright. Except, my navy blue/red betta, Puff, had a bit of fin rot 
. But, after a few days and the addtion of a little multi-purpose conditioner, it cleared up, pheww. I had a ghost shrimp in my less-agressize betta's, Mr.Lavender (he's lavender reddish color), side. The shrimp was fine in there but it was too small to enjoy so I put it in my 5 gallon for the time being, to grow. Puff also had a shrimp but attacked it to the point where it jumped out of the tank and fell on my floor. I found it almost-dead and housed it in my 5 gal. permanently. Well, some fish/shrimp stories for you all to enjoy.

oh poo. I just few out some old screans a few months ago...Before the animal farm here and my plans at making a Betta Farm. Time to hunt for some old screans or sacrafice one...
Nice going on the tank, btw. I love your contraption for the flow. For my axolotl tank i just put some fake hanging plants in the outflow. Its attractive, the shrimp love to forage on it and it keeps the water pretty still, especially on the lowest setting.
You gave me ideas for an outflow contraption for my covered newt tank....Keep up the good work.

I just got a new really cool plakat at my LFS! He had arrived the day before and was extremely healthy and active, and he still is. He looks incredible when he flairs!
