never knew RTBS's would jump

I have a 35 gallon tall aqaurium. I did a water change yesterday and most of spooked him cause he was going a little crazy but seemed to calm down. I checked back 15 minutes later and he was not there. After searching the tank for another 5 I found him. He was behind the tank, he commited fishacide. Buh-bye little fishy .

i had one jump out of my 20g one night, jumped out of the openning where the filter is, and halfway across my room somehow...

Thats what my friggin' little hatchetfish did! I know they jump, but how do they fit out of such a small opening?

Sorry to hear bout that ... I know i've startled my RTB before by turning on the lights...he freaks and darts straight to the top....the cover has saved him a few times....but ive found as he gets bigger ( meaner aswell ) that he does it less and less....again sorry !!
