I always get really excited about starting a new project in my tanks but i never have the patience to enjoy them once its setup.
An example, 2 months ago i stipped the 320g from a peacefull community tank to swich to a frontosa tank took ages to set it all up and spent over €400 on thefish alone. In the 2 months the fronts have grown abit but are still only at 2-3" mark and i cant wait to see when theyre fully grown.....which will take a few years :( but i have itchy feet now and want to change it but i just cant justify it to myself or the other half.

So does anyone have any tips on how to enjoy the terribly slow progress of this tank?
And
Are any of yous like me who need to just sit back and enjoy what youve got?

I am ALWAYS thinking of different things to do with my tank, but at the end of the day I can never face the prospect of moving on my current stock.

you need a shed/garage project!

Been there bought the tshirt so to speak. I have 12 or so unused tanks in the shed buti find it very hard to enjoy them out there and cant bring them inside without messing the house as i already have 4 in here and anymore would look untidy :(

true, it's difficult to enjoy the fish in a place you dont spend too much time in.....but what about breeding something in there instead of having some nice to look at display tanks?
