Hi

which do u people think is better......a net breeder or a plastic contraption?

Because i have had plenty of births in a contraption and i havent bought a net. so which do you think is bteer?

I have both, the net one is newer and now that I have tried both I prefer it. It is easier to keep clean, better circulation, roomier etc... There is no device to protect the fry from their own mother but I'm usually there and I do jam quite a few plants in there to restrict the mother's ability to get at them...

hi

thanx for the info

but im scared cuz i got a relly pregnant molly and if i put it in the net breeder with some java moss and plants for my fry to hide i think my molly female will try to eat the plant because my mollies have eaten most of my plants

Hi! :D
I use net breeder it suits me!! like it was said before the circulation is better, air gets in there and what i like the most is when you feed the little ones (you obviously give them tiny pieces) all uneaten ones fall out and don't go rotten in their own little private house!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know how it works with others, but it works for me!!! :) Good luck i hope you choose one and you like it!

HI

I reckon a plastic contraption is a better product because 30 molly fry cant be wrong. My molly had no worries and is now swimming around peacefully with the rest of the mollys. My fry seem to brake all the rules of raising fry, they eat adult size flakes better then they eat fry size flakes and she just keeps on having more and more. no worries to people who have a plastic contration and want to by a net breeder because theyre influenced by the other people on thi forum.

BEA/\/ ;) :p :D

I highly recomend the net breeder for these reasons , the food that the fry dont eat goes threw the nets holes and in ot the tank that gets filtered up , not as muhc as a hasle , cheaper , and really easy to set up ... i bet others can name a few mroe reasons why nets are better then plastic. :D

but if u give ur fry the right amount of food then it doesnt make a mess and i feed my fry and they eat everything and the plastic contraption u basicaly dont have to set up. u buy it, take it out of the box and there u out it in the water add some fish and there its easy.
