Ok so ever since fantasia jumped him hes not been well

hes been treated with melafix n his cut is all healed

2day i removed the black out infront of the divider, he was ok for 5mins, then i found him sunk on his side at the bottom, then he suddenly swam off and then proceeced to float to the top like he was dead

its not swim bladder as he can swim fine, its just like hes trying to die on me sad.gif

help

hes a male PK betta btw

Sinking can be bacterial.
Is he also rolling upside down.

Stress can cause illness in fish as there immune system is weak when there stressed.

yeah he rolled upside down once

he seems ok then seems bad

hes eating (when he notices the food)

he'll swim about all fine, n then sink on his side, n then float to the top n almost be upside down

i dunno what to do, he was treated with melafix for his cut, and thats all healed

i dnt wana lose him :(

Cut his food out and add a bacterial med to his tank, not melafix.
Usually when fish show these type of symtoms it's to late the fish never seem to recover.
I wish you all the luck but don't hold out much hope.
The trouble with cuts it that bacteria can enter the wound causing internal damage,

i think the postie bashed him about about as he arrived with the cut, but left shell in perfect health

its a divided tank so will my other betta be ok with me running the anti internal bacteria?

should i use Pimafix or should i use the interpet one? or pimafix and melafix?

hes nearly lost all his colouring now and has a prominant stress stripe :(

I would preform some water changes on the tank.
If the betta is pale its stressed, whats the betta breathing like.
I wouldn't try some salt in his tank for now to help with the stress, its one tablespoon to 5 gallons, but only had half the dose for now, as its not good to add salt all in one go.
I wouldn't add the med just yet with the fish being stressed.

water change was 50% and done yesterday

sometimes its rapid, others hes barely breathing

the tank is 4gallon, so how much salt?

this is really frustrating as he was fine till my other male jumped into his side n shook him up (no fin damage tho)

Ok.
Two teaspoons of salt just stir the salt in a jug of tank water till it disolves and add to the tank.
Not looking to good to be honest.

i didnt think it was :(

i dunno what more to do, fingers crossed, thanks wilder xx

just did what u sed, hes swimming around frantically, and on his side :( i really wish there was more i could to :(

You did only add two teaspoons of salt.
He will settle down give him a few minutes.

yeah 2 teaspoons (not tablespoons) of my aqualibrium salt

ive turned the light off, hopefully he will relax have a snooze n start feeling better

Ok.
Bless him.

will check on him later and let u know how he is doing

fingers crossed

thanks wilder x
