In my 5 gallon long tank I added some algaecide to remove some algae that the nerites weren't getting. when I added it the first time (as directed) they still moved after a week, then 2 weeks after that week I added another dose of the algaecide and now its been 2 days and they aren't moving, my mystery snail is ok though.
Also the label of the algaecide says its just not safe for clams, and shrimp?

clams and shrimp and snails invertebrates If it is toxic to clams and shrimp it might be toxic to snails. Also look at the label. if it contains copper it might be toxic. Some copper compounds are toxic to invertebrates.

I would recommend a water change and discontinue use of the algaecide.

Note plant fertilizers do contain Copper sulfate. Plants need copper to grow. If the fertilizer dose is correct copper sulfate will not harm invertebrates.

Thank you! I stopped dosing it every 3 days as directed, and the snails are now up and moving around again!
But now I have another problem, how do I get rid of the algae? the nerites don't eat it fast enough and there is to much of it

Well if you have plants in the tank the likely cause of the algae bloom is a missing nutrient that is preventing the plants from growing. Healthy growing plants cane outcompete the algae causing the algae to die back. Other possible causes are insufficient light, high organics buildup in the substrate, or insufficient aeration of the water.

Many people have their lights on about 8 hours a day. Anything over that might favor the algae. You might also try adding a trace fertilizer or SeaChem Flourish Comprehensive. The Sachem product has all the needed trace elements and minor amount on nitrogen and phosphorous. Sachem Flourish Comprehensive is the only complete fertilizer I know of.

If it is an unplanted tank cycle water more often through the tank to get nutrient levels down as much as possible Also consider replacing some of the tap with RO or distilled water to further reduce nutrient levels in your tap water. With luck you can get the nutrient levels down low enough to slow or stop the algae growth.

the plants have new growth on them, matter of fact since I got them they flourish in both tanks. especially the 5.5G
In the tank im having the algae bloom in though there aren't many plants, the light is an issue, I just don't have the money right now to fix that! :( and I have them on for 5 hours a day since they just blast light like crazy into the aquarium, and my lfs doesn't sell flourish or leaf zone, and Idk if I can order it, ill look
