Neons Tetras With Oscars?

I heard today from my dads friend, that neon tetras will not get eaten when put with oscars. Is this true? Someone plz tell me.

unless the oscar is smaller then the neons, they will get eaten.

oscars eat anything they can fit in their mouths and they have a very large mouth for their size. a 2 inch oscar would probably eat a 1 inch neon in a snap!

btw, stocking amale and female convict is not a good idea as they might decide to breed and kill everything else in the tank...
