Neon tetras

commanderdoom21,
The place that sells them 4 for $2.30 is in York called Getty's. In Lancaster there's a place that usually sells them for .99 each That Fish Place. The place that had Cardinals for .89 each was in Randallstown, MD The Aquarium Center.

$1.99 is the usual price I see here in Htown.

And on another note, I've never met a beer I didn't like.....well maybe that Guiness Stout which is more like coffee than beer....and warm? Not very refreshing in a Houston summer.

they water down the exported guiness? mmmmm, can't wait to try the real thing then :D

neons around here are usually $1.99 each. (i remember when i was younger they were like 60 cents, same price zebra danios are now)

They do say Guinness doesn't travel well, Im not aware of any watering down though! I know a few people that work for Guinness here, so I'll make discreet enquiries! Where I get it its pretty damn cold thats for sure and I cant say I have ever had a pint anywhere in the world that beats the Guinness you get in some pubs in Dublin (not all!)

They don't water it down to travel, but you are right it doesnt travel well. They have to add a widget to the bottles and cans so that the head is created.. something to do with nitrogen I'll spare you the chemistry. And it is meant to be served cold... at least the stuff they market here is. on the packaging it says to serve it cold.

if you haven't drank a beer you haven't liked you probably haven't drank Bud... terrible terrible moose piss.

Guinees here in Canada is darn good....and as far as the tetras go..cheap, kinda delicate fish, and watch your filter...they often get sucked up...as was the case for my tetras...persdonally i dont keep them for those reasons..and they get boring to look at after a while unless you have about 6 of them for a school

ive heard that too - guiness much better in ireland ( peaty/mossy local water .....apparently) than anywhere else in the world that brews it. but as i cant stand the stuff i cant try that theory out when i go to ireland :D

This debate over Guinness is pretty amusing, considering over here in Dublin, people judge individual pubs by the quality of the Guinness and it is entirely possible to get a dodgy pint of Guinness in one of the new super-pubs as it is anywhere else in the world. Dont be under the allusion that its all good over here!! :D

There is a skill and a patience to pouring a pint of Guinness and the atmosphere and the soul in a genuine ( non didlee idle) Irish pub, where locals meet locals. It all adds up to a unique expierience that cant be bottled or trademarked. The black stuff is just a small part of that!

>>> How the heck did neon tetras become transformed to guinness beer?

... and tonights genetic engineering trick is......

Give me a week and I'll get right on thet LL but you will never be able to sell it in cali. As far as normal guiness goes I saw a great thing in a publication recently(I forget which one) A guiness pooring machine With counterweights and a motorized arm and everything.
