lol im sorry, the rainbows are only 2 inches now anyway plus fishkeeping is cruel anyway, taking a fish out of its natural habitat and sticking it in a glass box for our enjoyment

Is this the same tank that was getting the really high pH reading the other day? Neons prefer really soft water. The pH could be the root of your problem...

thanks nosoup, the ph has fallen a bit, and after research i have found out that my hardwater is tollerated by neons as many are bread in farms now
