One of my neon tetra's right eye is protruding a lot. Last week I started treating the tank for ich so the temp is 85-88 degrees F and there is 1 tablespoon of salt for every 5 gallons so I'm not sure if any of that is the cause.

The other possible cause is internal bacteria but I'm not sure how I would treat it. Mardel has a bunch of products but I don't know which one to use, Maracyn I, Maracyn II, or Maracyn Plus?

None of the other neons seem to be affected.

Please help, I know neons are cheap fish but I've had these for a long time and would rather not lose one.

I can't help you much i'm afraid but from what I understand neons do not react very well to salt.

What are your water perameters??

Remove the salt neons can't tolerate it to well at high doses.
Water stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph.
It has popeye, just want to check that the red stripe dosn't looked bleached out, and does the neon have a lump on the belly region that goes to a point.
Maracyn for treatment.
