I had 5 black neon tetra (all died) and 3 glowlight tetra (2 died) from the disease. I'm treating the tank with a generic bacterial/parasite killer which I hope has saved the last tetra - all on his own :( There are now 1 glowlight and 3 otto in the tank. The medication doesn’t tell me what to do now... How long will it take for the bacteria/parasite to die off, do I need to do a complete water change, and do I need to change the media in my filter...? Can anyone please advise me?

Thanks,

Jon

This is a dreaded disease that I've had in my tanks from time to time and have never been able to find a cure... always loosing the lot of them.... It is contagious and may affect other fish as well, so best to remove the diseased fish and do whatever treatment seperately... Good luck!

Treating my fish for ich, and remembered seeing NTD is incureable.
