Hi again!

Well got at tank this morning and found both Neons bumps to have disapeared.It was just the food.They are bright in collor all over so i think this was a false alarm.

I posted a similar question a few weeks ago and Wilder also helped me out, He / She is a top person. My Neons seemed to be doing what yours are doing and the bump only seems to show itself after they feed, athough the bump would not end in a point just a pure bump. I do not give them much food and only feed once a day. At the time Wilder thought it could be NTD, So I took his advice and got hold of a small tank and seperated the two neons in question. They remained in the tank for 3 weeks and showed no other signs of illness just this bump when they had finished feeding, no discolouration. They are now back in the main tank.

Hey.

Yes this symptoms is really just there stomach swelling when they feed.You will notice that the bigger ones develop bumps cause they are more dominent and therefor eat more food.

I also have no colors fading or any spots so im happy now.The Bumps was not like a zit it was more like round and then point a little to the bottom.

i am so glad that your neons are ok! there are many false diagnosis' of NTD and from what i hear the acctual NTD is rare.

My Neons often have bumps after they've been fed, especially when I've put a frozen food cube in and they go crazy for it. My smallest Neon is a bit bumpy all over but all the neons (including her) are bright enough and are thriving in my tank.

Glad the neons are ok, i was just going on my experience as mine had the bumps that went to a point, eventually they did come down with ntd, hope yours don't but this was when i added some more, good luck.
