Hello, I have a colony of brevis, I noticed that my male has a enlarged gill and what seems to be an enlarged face, have just watched him feed and as he was eating flake it was coming out of the gill. The fish seems to be in good condition otherwise and the other fish in the tank have no problems.

Have you tryed posting in the betta section.
Does the gill look swollen with white edges.
Is the gill red and inflamed.
has he been trapped in anything in the tank and its made his gill and face swell up.

Not by the looks of it, only thing worrying me is the the fact that the food he ate came out of his gill but he was quite happy to eat it again

Sometimes food can come out of the gill.
All you can do is issolate the sick fish and try a bacterial med.

Do not have any tanks spare, will melafix tank and go from there.

How long has the face been swelled up.
No melafix is only good on cuts and wounds.

Managed to have a closer look, gill is very red and inflamed, will go to the pet shop tomorrow.

Red gills can be bad water quality, gill flukes, bacterial gill rot.
