What fish from the tank in finding nemo can i keep in a 55 gallon tank?

I've never seen a 10inch moorish idol but you could keep a couple of small bannerfish instead of them. They look similar. You could have a small blue tang and a couple of clownfish. I have no idea what else is in the tank as I haven't seen nemo for a while. He's always busy signing autographs and doing television presentations.

The stocking (NOT the tank itself) in the Finding Nemo tank is surprisingly doable. Difficulties would include the fish outgrowing the tank, as both the Idol and the diodont ("puffer"), as adults, need more swimming room than a fifty-five gallon tank can provide, in my opinion. A better system for these two would be a 120 gallon.

Kept well fed, the diodont should leave everything else alone. They have variable personalities but they rarely are as aggressive as fresh water puffers tend to be.

All this is assuming that the Idol eats at all, and to be honest I cannot recommend this species for aquaria as they are so difficult to keep, and the initial capture of the fish isn't justified. As Colin T alludes to, a few bannerfish, in my opinion, would look better anyways and they are a breeze to keep in most cases. The minimum for the banners, plus everything else in the Nemo tank, would be 90 gallons, but a much better size would be a 6', 120 gallon tank.

Dory, the blue tang, gets around 12". 55 would work for a tiny one but only for a little while and then you'd be looking at an upgrade. I intend to keep one in a 120 gallon (when I get it up and running)
