I buy juwel black carbon and its expensive so I only use it to remove meds.
Some members don't even use it for meds, they just keep doing water changes.
Also them nitrate sponges are a complete rip off aswell.
Just fill the space in your filter with another sponges, or filter floss or matting.

Hello all
Just an update on the problem of mouth rot, the fish with the problem has unfortunatly died (I hate that fish do this, their so selfish)
Im keeping my eye on the other fish to see whether there is ant effect on them

Good discussion on carbon filtering, I must admit I had little knowledge in this area but it is increasing now...
