Long story short, two baloon mollys have given birth to fry. I have 15 that have survived (there were more but a few died early on)
I need to move them out of the main tank which is a 60 litre and into their own tank as there currently trapped in a breeding net. There 1 month old now.
I have a small 13 litre tank available and was wondering if I could simply take one of the filter pads out of my Fluval 2 internal filter (from the established main tank) and put it inside an air powered filter.
Is that good enough to put the fry straight into the new tank?
I would have thought it would be ideal but wanted to check first.
Oh and before anyone mentions the 13 litre is only temporary I know its not big enough for them to live in permanently! I just feel it would be better for them to be able to swim about rather than being trapped in a net....
I had captured all but one of the fry in the breeding net and the single fry that lived free in the main tank for a month is a lot bigger than the others so I think there growth has been stunted somewhat.
Thanks
