On Wednesday my salvini started laying eggs on a piece of slate. They are greyish and some are white (i think they are turning white not sure). If they were going to hatch would they of hatched by now? And if they do hatch any tips on raising the fry?? The salvini is a female and i the male is a firemouth i have. They are the only fish in the tank except another female salvini who is constantly being bullied by them which she will soon die but i can't remove her because it might affect the eggs!! Recently another male firemouth died due to bullying from the firemouth and the salvini who is now bullying the other one!

So for fish that haven't hatched your prepared to let another one die?

They would of hatched by now, also did a male fish fertilize them? Is they a pair guarding them?

If the eggs are turning white it's not a good sign, means they have fungus/are not fertile.

To stop fungus on eggs methylene blue.

Bit late if they are all ready white and weren't fertilized from what I can see.

Also any other anti bacteria/fungs med will work.

The male went over them but i don't know what he did or if he did fetilize them. The female is guarding them all the time and the male is swimming around but if the other fish goes near the eggs it defends them.

So you have 2 salvini's and a firemouth, so a salvini and a firemouth are a pair? You would tell if the male fertilized them it would follow the female after she laied every egg and fertilize them.
